Welcome to another edition of the “30 Years, 30 Business Tips” series. This post is about focus, refining feedback loops, and creating forward momentum. It’s about not getting stuck in the weeds and pushing ahead.
🔑 Tip #16 – Focus is a Superpower
Trying to serve everyone waters down your impact. Define your niche clearly and focus on becoming the best at serving that market. It's better to be a specialist in something specific than a generalist who blends in.
📉 Tip #17 – Track What Matters
Don’t waste time measuring everything. Identify the key performance indicators (KPIs) that truly impact your business and track those closely to make data-driven decisions. Numbers tell a story.
👂 Tip #18 – Feedback is a Gift
If you don’t listen to your customers and team, you’re missing out. Regular feedback gives you the insights to improve, innovate, and evolve your products or services.
🔄 Tip #19 – Momentum Beats Perfection
Many businesses stall because owners wait for things to be perfect before launching. Start messy, learn quickly, and adapt. Perfectionism can slow you down—momentum will drive results.
🏆 Tip #20 – Never Outsource the Vision
Your business is your vision—don’t outsource the “why” or direction. Owners who stay rooted in their mission are better decision-makers and inspire more loyalty.
